Lyons, France
Genevieve Gauckler was born in Lyons, France. Lyons is the second largest metropolitan area in France, after Paris. Lyons has a rich cultural history and was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is a place with special cultural of physical significance.
One of the reasons that Lyons was named a World Heritage Site is that it is the French capital of the “trompe l’œil“-walls, or an art technique of creating such realistic imagery that the eye believes it to be three-dimensional.
